Le Civette, holiday house in Tuscany at the border of the Chianti classico region
Le Civette holiday house is located in the middle of Tuscany, between Florence and Siena, in the area of the Florentines Hills (Colli Fiorentini) at the border of the Chianti Classico region. It consists of a unique apartment created in an ancient restored hayloft besides the old master house of the medieval period (around 1100 a.c.) The structure is made of old stones according to the typical traditional architecture of the Tuscan countryside that well integrates with the landscape.
Le Civette holiday house is the ideal starting point to visit the main art cities of Tuscany as Florence, Siena, San Gimignano, Volterra. Furthermore the area is full of nice eno-gastronomic (Greve, Radda, Gaiole in Chianti) and cultural itineraries touching parish churches (pievi) and abbeys (badie), castles and fortress, country-houses, villas and farms, milestones of the history of Tuscany. It is possible to make trekking excursions on foot or by bicycle reaching the near towns of Barberino Val d'Elsa, the medieval village of Tignano, the ancient Pieve of Sant'Appiano and Certaldo. For lovers of horse riding the area is full of riding school offering the possibility of equestrian excursion and private lessons.
